Overarching Goal

School Community Council and Staff Involvement in the TSSP
School Community Councils play an integral part in the development and monitoring of TSSP goals. Please briefly describe the participation of SCC members in the development process of this TSSP:

The Jordan Valley School Community Council discussed ideas and helped create and modify the draft of this plan on 11/12,18, 2/11/19, and 3/11/19.  The Council voted on the final version of this plan on 3/11/19.

Academic Goals

During the 2018-2019 school year Jordan Valley students increased by 2.55 points in English Language Arts using a school-wide Literacy Alternative Assessment. Our goal was to increase by by an average of 3 points. We did not reach our goal of an increase by 3 points. We hypothesize that there are three areas of weakness in classrooms that are impeding an increase in gain. These three areas are consistent use of curriculum, lesson planning and appropriate sensory breaks for students.

By the end of the 2019-2020 school year Jordan Valley students will increase by 3 points in English Language Arts using a school-wide Literacy Alternative Assessment.
