Teacher and Student Success Plan
2018 - 2019

Overarching Goal

By the end of the 2018-2019 school year, all teachers will be proficient in administering, recording and analyzing DIBELS progress monitoring probes. (This is in conjunction with our pathways to progress academic goal).

School Community Council and Staff Involvement in the TSSP
School Community Councils play an integral part in the development and monitoring of TSSP goals. Please briefly describe the participation of SCC members in the development process of this TSSP:

The SCC reviewed data from previous plans and looked at the current school climate and direction. Feedback was taken. The building leadership provided proposals to the SCC. They voted and approved the plan.

Academic Goal

64% of students made typical progress on the math DIBELS MCAP score from fall to winter. This is a decrease from last year, but a change in assessment. As a BLT, we have decided to change the indicator we will use on the assessment to monitor progress for the upcoming school year. We will use the math composite score.

75% of students will make typical progress on the math DIBELS composite score from Fall to Spring measurement.

Classroom Discussion

Continue to provide professional development and training in how to incorporate effective classroom discussion within core instruction and small group instruction.

Teachers will learn how to implement classroom discussion strategies into core and small group instruction.

We will look at the winter progress monitoring to check the progress our students are making.

Academic Goal

60% of students made typical progress or better on the DIBELS Reading Composite score. We believe the score does not accurately reflect our student's progress because of the lack of a systemized method and expectation for progress monitoring. We also believe a lack of emphasis the school has placed on this assessment affects this result.

70% of our students will make typical progress or better on the DIBELS Reading composite score on the 2018-2019 Fall to Spring Pathways to Progress report.

Daily decision making based on the use of formative assessments.

A system of progress monitoring with clear expectations for teachers. Teachers will progress monitor and input scores on all students once/month. Teachers will progress monitor and input scores on yellow/red students once/week.

Teachers will learn how to administer, record, and analyze progress monitoring to inform their small group instruction.

We will keep a tracking sheet showing progress monitoring for each teacher.
